Micro USB protector cover like or dislike?

Additional thoughts: as I said earlier, mine just fell off about a month after I started using the phone.
That being said, this is the ONLY phone (smart or dumb) that has ever had that cover; I definitely remember thinking, WTF?????
It's completely pointless and its flimsiness is only verified by it's falling off!
Why in the world HTC decided to implement this is beyond me. I don't think they've done it on any previous phone nor any phone since. That should say something.

I got my DNA on the week it was released (would have been first day if my order had not been screwed up) and my usb cover just broke about 2 weeks ago, I do not miss it one bit.

I'm much happier with that little flap being gone. When it was still there, it was such a pain to get it closed again after it finshed charging. I have an Anker wireless charger and a Koolpad wireless charger. I carry the Anker with me, and leave the koolpad at home.

I use wireless charging at the house, so it only bothers me 30-40% of the time....

I just can't justify buying these wireless chargers. Does anyone know if they are compatible with many other devices? I feel like I go through phones every 18 months or so, so I don't want to keep buying accessories that don't transfer over to the next phone. So, what else is compatible with these wireless chargers?

it is tough to justify the accessories sometimes, (If I hadn't gotten them as gifts I probably wouldn't have them) but if the next phone isn't compatible, these accessories will sweeten the deal if the DNA can be sold or "hand me downed"

Mine broke off after a few months and I was glad to see it go. Nice idea......poorly implemented. A little sliding door/cover would be much better......if it is even needed at all.

DNA is compatible with the Qi charging standard, which appears to be emerging as the dominant standard for wireless phones..according to AC; Samsung, HTC, LG, Motorola and Nokia (as well as others) have adopted it. I bought a Nokia DT-900 (on sale for under $20) and it works flawlessly, slower than wired but incredibly convenient. I predict that a Qi-standard charger will work with most inductive-charging cell phones going forward.
