Microphone activation delay on incoming call?

So I've been suffering from this issue since I got my Nexus 4 a month ago, but I really just tested it now. When I receive and incoming call, and swipe right to accept it, there seems to be about a one second delay before the person on the other end can actually hear me. This means that when I say "hello" after accepting the call, they don't hear me at all. I almost always need to repeat myself to be heard.

I tested this by calling my Nexus from my house phone. I began to blow into the mic on the nexus right before accepting the call. There is definitely a significant delay before anything comes through the earpiece on the phone that made the call. Anybody else experiencing this?

I noticed this too.. Almost everytime I have to say hello twice as the person on the other end does not hear the first hello

Glad it isn't just me. I consider this to be a large annoyance. Anybody have any suggestions?

4.2.2 fixed it for me. However my wife on her iphone experiences this occasionally
