Microphone issues?

Does anyone on here have people on the other end of your calls tell you that you sound muffled when not on speakerphone? On speakerphone everything sounds perfect.

yes! my droid charge just started doing this yesterday. I'm trying to figure it out! BTW- phone is not rooted

Remove you case and verify the microphone (bottom) and noise cancelling microphone (left side towards top) are not blocked, also if you are on a non-stock/non-Sense ROM, audio quality is not as good as a Sense based ROM. One odd thing with this phone, if you sound muffled well talking with the phone on one side of your head, switch it to the other side... it sounds stupid but it changes the orientation of the noise cancelling microphone and can make a difference in how you sound. People with long hair that cover the phone when talking often noted this.
