Microphone on keyboard

[AC Question]

My phone updated over the weekend for some reason. It list version 6. 0.1 on my system info. Since then i have noticed a few annoying changes. All the special characters on the keyboard have changed the letters the are on, the microphone icon on the keyboard has vanished and lastly, i can only show contacts from one account at a time. Does anyone know how to get the microphone back, or fix the contacts issue?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Which keyboard app? If you long-press one of the keys next to the spacebar, do you see the microphone there?

Hi,

It is a Samsung Galaxy S6 Active. When I hit the settings cog next to the spacebar several show up, one being the mic. Using what I assume is the Samsung keyboard.

I'm not sure if that's just an annoying quirk of the Samsung keyboard. You could try installing Gboard and use that instead.
