MicroSD question

Which microSD card class is best? Mostly videos, game and music. Also is it better to store downloads in microSD card instead of the phone? thanks

Class 10 is the best. But realize that within class 10,there are some cards that are faster than others. Though for media, any quality class 10 would be fine

Ive had a 4 for years and had no issues at all with it. What are the differences? I am going to give my son mine and buy myself a new one this weekend.

It depends how much you want to pay, do you care how fast it transfers files?

Right now both Kingston and Patriot class 10 are on sale, the difference is $8 for the Patriot because it double the speed to 20MB.

It depends on what video you are using. If you are watching 4k,then a class 4 might not be enough.

Well Samsung has some pretty fast Class 10 UHS-1 cards they just came out with, so they aren't on sale (essentially just MSRP for now), but I believe... Toshiba? has a UHS-2 card in the pipeline which isn't available yet.

Really, the read speeds should be sufficient on current cards, but depending on what you are doing, the write speeds can slow you down. Mainly video recording, as you said.

I prefer SanDisk since they specialize in this and have been around a long time. I still have a SanDisk Fuze MP3 player that uses micro sd cards and the cards still work as does the player I bought before android even came out. If you can't find them in sale, they can be a little more expensive but never failed me.

I doubt it makes it run faster as there are phones without them. SD cards are nice because you can carry more with you without a computer or need access to WiFi or data.
