Microsoft Apps stopped working--help

I use Word and Excel on my Note 8. Both worked fine until a few days ago, but now have stopped opening. I get a quick pop up saying Excel or Word has stopped working with a further note saying: Close App. I have an Office 365 subscription which is still current. I did change my Office 365/Microsoft password not too long ago, but I had been able to open Excel More recently, well after having changed the password. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling them, but doesn't help. Have also tried a forced stop on the apps setting page, but also doesn't help. Have tried resetting my phone...also no help. Any suggestions??

Try clearing the cache for those applications. If that doesn't work, clearing the data.

Or Uninstall and reinstall.

have tried both reinstall and removing Cache with no luck. Any other ideas?

I have the same problem. Excel freezes my note 8. Have to to a hard reset to get it to unfreeze
