I am using a 3rd party (not OEM) mini car charger along with a TOCCs 10 ft Bungee USB to Micro-USB Cable. Lately, after about 15 minutes, the mini car charger gets very hot and turned it off by itself (the red light on it was off). I have to take it out and let it cool down, put it back in and it'll work again for another 30 minutes or so. I have been using them for more than a month and this issue just started recently.
This is the 2nd mini car charger I have used. The 1st one actually was "burnt" (I smell something like burning rubber). So I bought another. But the heat issue remains.
What will the cause of this issue? Is it the mini car charger, the bungee USB cable or the car charger of my car itself?
Any comments/suggestions are much appreciated.
