Minor update for Verizon S5?

Is this the G900VVRU1BOD5 firmware from post #3, which appears to have been withdrawn and seems to have been replaced by the newer, G900VVRU1BOE1, release... both on Android 5.0.
I am on OE1 and am now noticing no more over heating problems, I also notice the "Do not disturb".

Sorry if I missed something previously, but I just wanted to mention that I received the update yesterday, and my build version has one number that's different (in bold below):

G900VVRU2BOE1

That's my bad, as they say. It is indeed... G900VVRU2BOE1

All previous releases have been, "1", and I was having to second guess as there is no information on the Verizon hybrid release from Samsung sources.

I notice that the, "Improvements", are identical to the aborted OD5 release a couple of weeks ago...

Software Version: LRX21T.G900VVRU2BOE1

"THE FOLLOWING IMPROVEMENTS
HAVE BEEN MADE:

“GALAXY Apps” app store will be auto installed on your device
Fingerprint Scanner for unlocking Microsoft Exchange
accounts is now enabled
"

Does anyone have, "Phone INFO ★Samsung★", free from the Play Store, installed? This gives the changelist # for this build under Android.

Has anyone that updated to BOD5 via Odin recieved the OTA update BOE1? I checked on a phone that I didn't update via Odin and it had the OTA BOE1 ready to download, but the two other s5's that I used Odin to update to BOD5 show that there "up to date" aka not seeing BOE1.

I ended up updating to BOD5 using odin since I never received it ota, and my phone also says up to date.

Just installed it and the magic (or not) number is:

4782027

Same number you stated earlier in the thread.

Thanks Tritonemusic!

Just as I thought.

So, no change from the last release, OD5, then. That was also changelist #4782027. Not the first time that Verizon has changed the last 3 digits without updating. Remember OA8 and OC4... same firmware!

Looks like Verizon are back to rolling this out themselves, gradually, over a period of weeks.

Wait, so you think this is the first of multiple updates coming out from Verizon?

Don't be silly IronCat21! :D

Verizon have had 4 firmware releases but only one firmware update, from the old, original, Lollipop changelist #3840764 to #4782027.

The only time they seem to offer an update is when they can cram more bloatware in.

Updated mine this evening, now S-view ( I have a wireless charging S-View window flip case) does not show SMS message counts :( - it just show's an envelope and no numbers. Anyone else see this before?

Got the OTA update yesterday. I don't notice any big change (as expected), but I do benefit from the fingerprint security being enabled now (in conjunction with my work email account) so I'll take that! Will keep an eye on battery life, etc. - but seems like everything is good and stable so far for me.

I love updates nut not when they kill my battery. Terrible battery life after a few days from when I DLed.

I just updated via kies. One thing I notice so far is opening camera from lock screen is super fast now. However the delay in gallery is still there. Will give you guys further update as I spend more time with this device for the next few days on battery life

I noticed the camera is faster, but the screen doesn't automatically dim enough more often now. I have never personally noticed a delay in the gallery, so I can't comment on that.

I just have to say that this "minor" update seems to have done wonders for my phone in terms of speed and smoothness. Everything seems really zippy, and there is literally no lag. Hopefully, things stay this way!

My update didn't appear to install Galaxy Apps on my phone like the description said. Did it install on anyone else's phone with the update?

I don't see it either. You can access Galaxy Apps from the Essentials widget, but that has always been the case, even when this phone was running KitKat.
I was looking for an icon/separate app, like there is on Galaxy S6 phones.

Same here. For some reason my phone is awake the whole time the screen is on. Discharge rate when in use for Web browsing is at 15% an hour. I don't have Facebook or Amazon apps, which are known to suck the battery dry

The way the "volume button" sound settings works has changed. You used to be able to touch the screen and get Mute/Vibrate/sound without raising the volume. I think this enables "Do Not Disturb" though.

So I just updated to OE1 and my contacts no longer work. Well Kinda.. If I go to "contacts" it constantly says "Updating Contact List..." I have tried turning sync off, clearing cache and data from contacts and rebooting and nothing has fixed it yet. Also, if I go to my messages, it does not show any contacts, only their numbers, but if I click the picture, BOOM it shows the contact? Any ideas?

I got the update for my S5 yesterday and contacts are still updating...my text messages will not show which contact goes with each number. The battery is hot and drains more quickly than before. I have reset and rebooted, erased the cache, and booted in safe mode, nothing worked. help please!!!

Re: Minor update for Verizon S5? - Root?

Anyone rooted want to comment if this update takes root away from you?
I already went through hours of downgrading, TowelRooting and upgrading through the cleansed ROM (and I'd hate to do this again!).
