Mirroring my Nexus 7 FHD to my TV

I just got the SlimPort SP2003 (Amazon) and it DOESN'T work with my Nexus 7 FHD. I have tried connecting it with the tablet on and off (Then powering on) and with and without the optional Power adaptor inserted into the adapter.
I just asked SlimPort if there is anything I need to do...

Had same issues. The Slimport SP1002 is $70 (your link), not $30. Any idea why the price is so different now? Really want to mirror on the big screen via cable. Tried a different brand tonight and it didn't work at all. Hate to pay $70. May as well buy the Nexus 10.

I gather that amazon sold out of the slimport quickly and third party thieves jumped in and are gouging at $70.

It says it supports Miracast. Will let you know if it works fine for screen mirroring with the Nexus7 2013 (and Samsung Galaxy S4).

I have noticed that the SlimPort I bought is now about $100 and that is insane. It was $30 when I bought it and works great. It may just be that the main stores are sold out. If you notice some people sell items for much more money than others and Amazon will usually "feature" the cheaper ones. If the cheaper ones are sold out, all that is left is the more expensive. I would suggest waiting until the others get it back in stock. I mean if you go to the store page one guy is selling one for $670.00!!!!

eBay has the Slimport HDMI HDTV MyDP which I do not know if it works with the N7 or not, but is advertised to work with the N4. I do NOT know if this will work though.

Anyone know if that will work?

Also I read the Miracast is not a bad way to go, but it can be a little choppy with video sometimes, and is not recommended for playing games.
