It has gotten to the point where I do not want to use text messaging because I do not know who is going to get the text.

I called Verizon support and outside of telling me to do a battery pull and a factory reset, they we of no use.

This was a big issue with some phones, but I thought that it was taken care of in the lastest update.

Might want to check to see if you have an update for your phone.

I thought this was resolved as well, haven't heard of this issue for some while.

I do have all the latest updates. Verizon is sending me another x so I hope it doesn't continue.

Go to market and dl "SMS Popup" app. No problems with misdirected text messages using this app. There are other similar apps out there as well. But this one I especially like because it puts a temporary popup over the lock screen with the options to close, reply or delete right there. Also is customizable as to alert sound and color LED for specific contacts.

What does it do ?
Does it show the percentage changing when your under battery stats ?

How long you had the phone that depends on if they will swap you out

It keeps giving different percentages and then it warns me to plug it in.

Its been about 5 months since I got it

Unfortunately, when most people get a "new" replacement phone, it's most likely a refurbished one ... something someone already turned in and it was probably just wiped (Factory Data Reset) back to "out of box" operating system. It's hard to get another genuinely new replacement.
