Miss my iPhone

that's why I love T-Mobile, free upgrades whenever you want up to 3 times a year!! I've literally changed phones in a months time before for free haha. never had that "sorry your stuck with it unless you give us a lot of money" thing since I left Sprint and at&t

Apple did it because of beats... I don't know why any of the others would follow that trend it was one of my main reasons for ditching iPhone

I'm sorry they locked you in like that, OP! I get what you are saying. When you are so used to something, it is hard to change.

You guys believing random rumors with no true confirmation from the company have me even more worried :P.
Chill, I don't believe a damn thing. Just discussing the rumors. But it can clearly not be discussed with fanboys. Everything that has a millimeter more frame than the Galaxy s8 will now be seen as a phone with huge bezels

You understand that more than a few of us posting have or have had nearly every major, and some mid range, devices released in the past year from every manufacturer right? It doesnt have a thing to do with being a fanboy. I HATE Samsung but can recognize that the S8 design is one of the best on the market.

Apples design doesnt look like much has changed if those rumors are true. The screen fills the front finally but they didnt do anything overly exciting for the 10th anniversary phone. It just doesnt have a "wow" factor for me. Ive had an iPhone since the 4. Every release, every year. None of them have been exciting besides the 6 plus when they finally gave us a bigger screen.

Of the reasons that I consider and get a phone the "wow" factor is at the bottom of said reasons and maybe not even on my list. :-p

For $1000, it better have some "wow" factor because we all know the OS surely hasn't changed.

Just by saying you HATE, with uppercase letters on top of it, screams fanboy-ism to me. I don't hate on anything, especially not on a freaking phone manufacturer. Anyway, I can see a huge improvement on this iphone 8 leaks compared to iphone 7 when it comes to shrinking the bezels.

You deal with them on 4 S7 Actives and 3 Note 7's in 4 months and tell me you dont have some HATE towards them as a manufacturer.

As for the iPhone 7 vs the iPhone 8 leaks and their bezels. If the leaks are correct, they are the same size. In fact the 8's look slightly larger. The only thing they shrank was the borders of the screen, which is a welcome change. But the actual frame of the phone hasnt changed one bit. They flipped the camera vertically as well. ohhhhhh, thats innovative.

Yeah, if the leaks are true, this will be a very cool looking phone for sure. Unfortunately, it will still be saddled with iOS. ;) Lol

If done right, I think the FPS in the display could be really awesome. If not, it's best to have it on the back of the phone to maximize screen to phone ratio.

Yeah it doesn't have a edge screen or "infinity screen" if you wanna call it that :), fine by me as I don't see its advantages really.

What do you mean?

You said because I used HATE in caps that it was somehow indicative that I was a Samsung fanboy when in fact I am the complete opposite. I have blasted Samsung as a company on here since I joined for their horrible business practices and customer service. Also in regards to their subpar quality control.

I dealt with them on 4 faulty S7 actives last year and got involved on here when it came time to bring the faulty seals to the forefront. Then I dealt with them again on 3 Note 7's during that debacle. I am not a fan of them in the least. I only have an S8 right now because I have a very unhealthy addiction with phone technology. This is around the 15 or 16th phone Ive bought in just over a year, 3 of which were iPhones. I dont have a preference or favorite at this point. The only company I would say Im somewhat of a fan is Huawei.

And I agree with that completely. The comment made from the get go was people didnt see any bezels, but they are there and they appear to be the same as last years and possibly the 2 years before that.

I like alot about Apple, but that OS has got to evolve into something from this decade. If they would stop being stubborn about that then Id be all for an iPhone 8. This year will be the first year I skip them since the 4 and its all due to the OS.

What in the world is going on here? When most people talk about the iPhones horrible bezels they are talking about the top and bottom, not the sides. And all the leaks have shown the top and bottom bezels reduced drastically on the iPhone 8.

I agree that those bezels have shrunk. When I compared s8 and iPhone 7 side by side at the store, the iPhone looks ugly because of its bezels. Now it seems the iPhone 8 has thin bezels compared to iPhone 7.

Bezels are the frame of the phone, not the border of the screen. Yes the display border has been drastically reduced. This seems to be the confusion here. People keep saying bezels when they mean to say screen borders.

Definition - What does Bezel mean?

Bezel is a term used to describe the outside frame of a computer, monitor or any other computing device. This is important for product developers and designers in evaluating the overall perimeter of the device/component and its possible ramifications. Newer device designs such the iPad have extremely narrow bezels, allowing for more screen. This has become an increasingly important design factor for consumers.

Edit: I take the definition of "Bezel" as literally the frame. Maybe Im mistaken here and that display border is also considered a bezel. I apologize for the confusion but I was speaking specifically about the frame of the phone and its sides. I dont think anyone can dispute that the screen has significantly reduced its borders (bezels?).

Had an S8 for two months, and it's a great phone, but I find myself missing my iPhone. AT&T basically told me sorry about your luck you're stuck with it. It would cost me $350 to turn this phone in and then get a new iPhone.

I like this phone but I had an iPhone for so long, Android is just so foreign at this point.

I'm just complaining because AT&T's policies are stupid.

What do you miss about iPhone? Maybe if you share more we can help you out and recommend some things. Or as others have stated you can always sell your phone and get an iPhone.
