So I'm loving the Nexus S, mostly, aside from this glaring problem I'm having. Any ideas/suggestions/help would be appreciated.
Essentially what's happening is that when my phone's screen is off I'm missing some, but not all, incoming gtalk messages. I get gmail pushes just fine and on time (maybe a second or two behind getting notification on my computer - not logged into gmail but through a extension). Half of the time I miss a message I get an email saying "you received the following while offline" and the other half I get nothing, I only find the missing message when I look at the chat transcript in gmail.
I've tried various fixes: I've done a factory reset, I've logged in and out, I've played around with APN setting, etc and I've even exchanged the phone. Nothing seems to be fixing this. It's not something wrong with my account, I never had these problems with my Droid (original), HTC Hero, Nexus One, or G1. I don't believe it's T-Mobile as I have 4 bars in my house and didn't have a problem with the N1 or the G1. It's driving me insane. The only thing I can think of is that the Nexus S isn't staying connected to T-mobile, I thought the APN stuff would have solved this but it doesn't seem to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. At a loss of what to do (try a third Nexus S, try the G2/MyTouch4G, or something else).
Thanks!
