I am having a problem with various images, music, etc missing or not displaying in Windows Explorer when my Samsung Galaxy s4 is connected to the computer via usb cable!!! it IS there in the file manager "my files" on the phone and ALL other file managers for Android say that they ARE there!!! but they WILL NOT show up on the computer!!! SEVERAL photos I made in apps DO NOT display!!! and MANY folders ONLY show SOME files not all!!! my caption image app's save folder ONLY displays 3 out of the 5 photos that are in there on a computer! right click - Refresh did NOT make them show!!! how do I fix???

This is more of a workaround, but try a wireless solution like AirDroid or Wi-Fi File Explorer. It allows you to explore the phone's storage very easily from your computer browser.
