I've been using CM7 now for the past 7 months and have really enjoyed it. I'm looking to change things up alittle until CM7 comes out with something with alittle bit more, "WOW", to it I guess. I was thinking about either Miui or Decks. Can any Miui or Deck users tell me any pros or cons between the 3. I know its about taste but again just looking for change. Thanks for all your input and thoughts.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but decks is very similar to CM7, so if you're looking to "change things up" you might want to look elsewhere. MIUI is awesome, if no 4g is okay with you then definitely give it a shot.

Yeah, I guess your right...I'll look into Miui and see how that is.

I tried CM7 (7.0.3.1, I think). It was a little rough around the edges.

I'd used Calkulin's EViO 2 1.8, and it was real sweet, but Froyo.

EViO 3 1.0 just came out, and is not fully finished yet.

In between, I'd used Deck's gingerbread-evo-deck 1.0, and was very impressed, I updated when 1.2 came out - very nice.

I tried EViO 3 1.0 for a couple of days, then went back to Deck's 1.2. 4G works fine for me. I'm very happy with it, and the battery life is great! I'm using the stock kernel, on 002 hardware. HTH...

PS - Like it enough that I'm going to "buy" him a couple of beers sometime in the next few days.

Like somebody told me when I was just starting to flash roms....

Nandroid backup, download, and flash like an out of control teenage girl :D

I tried Miui a couple days ago and it was beautifully designed and a really great break from Cm7, but I had constant FC's whenever i tried to do anything at all. I'll wait awhile to try again, bur until then. Im sticking with Cm7.

Yeah same here. I see 4g and a few other thing are still not working on the Miui that I use. I never was complianing about CM7 NOT AT ALL, was just trying to see what other roms were offering. I see alot of people were talking about Decks but isnt Decks similar to CM7 as I was informed earlier, so no reason to try that. I might try out Synergy rom and see what thats about. Thanks for your input.

I'd suggest for something AOSP but different, salvaged zen. And for sense, MikG or Synergy.. sense 3.0 is tight.

If I do try Synergy a sense rom I know I would run Titanium Backup but would I just back up my app or both apps and settings?

Backup both the apps and data. That way you don't have to worry about redownloading all your free apps (which aren't saved in the 'My Apps' section) or other apps that aren't available in the market.
