Save Some Battery

Hey guys if you read about this v6 SuperCharger script here on this thread give it a shot if you wanna save some battery life on this rom. I just ran this with Script Manager now and it was easier than I thought it was gonna be. I originally was looking for the best battery saving 2nd Int rom but stumbled on this link...

MIUI Battery Saving/Performance Boost-Updated 8.20.11

Again, having read about this v6 SuperCharger script here and seeing it mentioned at the above link I decided to give it a go. My initial findings are that this will turn your DX "normal". What I mean is that it changes your I/O, whatever that is. If you play with Quadrant like I do, you'll notice that when bench marking stock Gingerbread/Froyo your I/O portion is where it slows down a bit. Well in MIUI the bench marking blazes through the I/O. Thats where these high scores come from and unfortunately this I/O blazes our battery too. (at least it seems too, shooting from the hip here guys) My MIUI benchmarking scores where at 2000 to 2400. After flashing the v6 SuperCharger script I'm now back to 1350-1400 "normal" benchmarks. So we'll see if this translates to more battery life and what not.

I wont qoute all that but I will second the notion on the v6 script, big difference now that things have been running it constantly. MY battery still is good at idle and full use pretty decent. QCA doesnt seem to counteract with it either which is cool

Since using v6 Supercharger, my battery has been better and my phone is much faster. Even when underclocked with QCA, I got over 2000 on Quadrant. I would recommend using the recently released version 9 beta with Kick Ass kernel update #3. This combo worked really well together. Im not using the 3G booster. Url with updated files below:

Also, has anyone else noticed that Wifi + 3G drops in and out while using v6 supercharger on MIUI? And has anyone successfully resolved this issue?

Wow thats great news for me SuperCharged, could you please share which setting your using in the v6 SuperCharger? (I'm currently on the Balanced setting #3)

This is all different than the unthrottle.txt thing we went thru last week w Script Manager correct?

Edit: Nevermind, WOW what a script to run. The options are outstanding and Im sure the results will be as well as I go along. Doesnt look like you hvae to reboot until you chose all the supercharger options you want. I love the humorous POOF at the end, lol.

Of course! I'm using setting #8 w/ MegaRam. I decided to use this over #9 because I noticed setting #9 was more choppy when scrolling. I would also recommend rebooting as it helped my phone settle in.

Yes this is different. The unthrottle.txt was created by BMC1217 and it used the same Script Manager. Personally, I tend to avoid any 3G booster as it has historically messed up my phone settings. But others have reported that it works fine with MIUI.

Have you played with these yet?

*Turn Automatic Brightness on in the display settings menu and then choose advanced mode.
*Disable the light sensor as it is not relevant to the DX.

Next is the Light Levels.
*Enable Custom Levels, and set the screen brightness level to 2.
*Allow lights to decrease set to on and reduce hysteresis to 90%.
----Next is to edit the other levels.
Set the number of levels at the bottom to 8.
