The majority of the reports that I'm getting is that it is, there are some reports of force closes and volume issues but those are in the minority. This is still in testing so the next build will be better even yet, and this really isn't a "true" ICS build if you know or seen demos of it you'll recognize the differences. Whats ICS about it is the framework. With source out though this could (CROSSING MY FINGERS!!!) change in the near future.

Closed beta MIUI with Android 4.0 ICS will be available in early December. The first device will be NS.

It's OK though since our X's can run pretty much the same thing already. I had at least 5 ppl go into tech shock when I showed them or they saw my screen, or heard random things that didnt sound like GB or Froyo.

This MIUI ICS build is running very well and I am very satisifed with it. Still running into little tweaks now and then that I didnt have on MIUI itself. Cant wait for more and more ice cream

Chose the With Sounds from minus.com(first link) then drop into SD/MIUI/Themes and then go into Theme manager and blah blah u should know the rest by now.

Since 1.10.21 is not supporting 720p playback or recording, is there a player out there that can at least play 720p on a 2nd init rom like this one?

I believe Rock Player lite or @cvpcs' VLC beta. They have both yet to fail me on any file.

Well I'm somewhat confused with the idea that there might be three MIUI releases comin out, MIUI as we know it (Defy based), MIUI Gingerbread base, and MIUI ICS.

Anyway, I was bored and played with some roms and before coming back did a SBF and flashed the last updated 119mb MIUI ICS. I've noticed some xtra goodies versus flashing right over 1.10.21 like I did initially, for example incoming calls now give you the option to respond with a text w/ a simple slide down, etc. So if your like me just looking to flash something try flashing the MIUI ICS after a SBF. ;-)

I was getting confused for a bit because I took the ICS MIUI which is version 1.11.9, but under About Phone it says build # MIUI 1.10.21 so that means the build of ICS into MIUI is on MIUI .21 which released Nov 10 2011. Its own drama now of waiting for MIUI China to finish the ICS base

So the new MIUI GB(which I think will take over for the Defy based) is the 2nd version to look for. I forget where that left off.. .28 but the link is down keeping every one on .21 non ICS

I tried the ICS miui and had issues. It wouldn't let me change the lockscreen and boot to CWR didn't work. Maybe some other things I don't remember. Are you guys getting this too? I'm tempted to flash it and checkoff out again. I'm on 21 right now.

I haven't had those specific issues, just a lil bug here or there that I somehow dealt with in various ways.
Kinda vague but that is how it was and has been so far with ICS. Latest is sometimes the ICS keyboard apk will FC but I'm experimenting to see the cause.

Mostly the basic build has been good. Now that I think of it, most issues have dealt with moves I made inside it. To be expected and luckily not damaging or regrettable.

Hey guys got a basic question. On some of the themes I download some if the characters are still in Chinese. Maninly on the lockscreen. Is there a simple way to change that.
