I was reminded today of why I switched from MIUI a few weeks ago: Google Search. I get force closes whenever I do a Google Search. I have always had this problem with MIUI. Is this a known bug? Is there a fix or a setting that I need to configure?

Is this from the browser or widget?

The browser. The Google Search widget works just fine. Performing a search in the browser always causes a force close.

Not with this latest build, and I don't remember if I tried a Google search on the last build. I was hoping to not have to flash another browser, but I guess I might.

If you want full screen shots with the widescreen 6mb settings, set your focus to infinity.

I'm hoping it happens automatically like it was rumored too once it went Gingerbread. Keeping my eyes open...

YOu know looking at the change log what keeps catching my eye is this weather thing..??? Is there a MIUI weather app on this build that I'm not seeing or are we getting one?? Confused on this one.

Liking the gallery sd card fix and some backup additions look promising.

I just did some snooping around this morning and it looks like there's a MIUI Weather app you can download from the Market, could be that. If you have Beautiful Widgets might be a pass.

if you're on CM7, there's no need to SBf is there? Can't you just wipe and install from CM7?

According to my 'About Phone' info, I was on a GB kernel with CM7 [nightly #98]. And, according to the MIUI instrux, I didn't need to sbf (or so I thought). So I didn't sbf, just ran the MIUI install zip from Recovery. Now I'm stuck at 'M'. Any insight is appreciated...

Go to the stock boot loader and do a factory reset. If that don't do it..then SBF.

looking for some help flashing this ROM. I have SBF'd to .602, took the .605 update, one click rooted and tried to flash this ROM 1.9.23 (I think this is the version, definately a GB Kernal though) through both D2 Bootstrapper and through ROM Manager. ROM Manager just reboots the phone into rooted GB. D2 Bootstrapper allows me to flash the ROM through recovery but every single time it boot loops at the MIUI Globe. I have let it run for about 10 minutes each time like this before re-SBF and try again. I have wiped all data, cleared cache and Dalvik cache too. I have probably done this about 5 times today and still can't get it loaded. Any help would be great. This is my first attempt at flashing a ROM and so far, it's not that cool of an experience. Thanks for the help in advance.

Flash clockwork recovery. First option in Rom manager and select 2nd Int Droid X. Make sure you erase All Data,cache, and delvik cache before installing MIUI. good luck!

A little lost b/c I have tried to flash this rom from both d2 bootstrapper and from rom manager. Every time I flash it, it gets stuck in the bootloop. You got to so this with a 6pack of beer in your system. Then it will work. ;-)
