MIUI Ported to the X

I second that, lol. Its a weird science that has been proven true.

Anyway the clean install instructions once you've rooted should give no hassles. What are you at right now and where do you want to go?

And yes Im back from vacation.

Hey, welcome back! Not much has happened here although I almost bought the Samsung Galaxy S II this weekend but that little voice in my head kept me from pushing the purchase button at Amazon. 2 hours later they drop the price by $50! At that rate it'll be free by the holidays ..lol!

Sent from my DROIDX

Thanks. Yes I see things are still being worked on for the next release. I Had a few reboots over the weekend, one during a short road trip in NH, at night, while the necessary GPS was on. That sucked for a bit. Guess we will just have to wait longer.

Not yet. Do you mean it just disconnects on it's own? Is your router still remembered in the list after that happens?>

Says its connected but no data. Have to turn wifi off and back on to get it rolling again.

Oh that just sounds like your Internet signal goin in and out(the modem), not necessarily your wifi connection. So far anyway.

Internet is good. Laptop and other devices have no problems including the galaxy tab.. very weird

Hehe.. yep. Had the same issue at the office today with the wifi there as well.. could be something wrong with radio maybe

i'm on .605 rooted and want to go to miui 1.9.23. where are the clean install instructions? Maybe that's what i'm missing. just watched a RageXMods video on how to install miui on my x. tutorial was great, but he was installing a different version (still on GB kernal), and his worked and mine didn't...lol. maybe some printed instructions are what i need.

nice, got it on there now, though everytime i reboot i need to re add my google account, is there a way to make it stay on there?

Now all we need is an updated Supercharger and we will be top notch

Speaking of, Jakes includes busybox and superuser updates. Does anyone know how that differs from the Superuser version included with MIUI builds? Cant have permissions on the same app in two superuser apps.

I believe it is different, which may be the previous Superuser version since 3.0 is still considered "beta". Before MIUI4GB (1.9.23), I updated to 3.0 and had some issues until I used Rom Manager to fix permissions. When I updated to 1.9.30 and then installed Jakebites, I had no issues with MIUI built-in Superuser or the Market version I already had previously installed. Although an interesting thing I did notice was that MIUI SU showed notifications first right after updating to the new rom. And then once I rebooted my phone after JakeBites was installed, the Market SU took over.

Anyone who hasn't updated to 1.9.30 definitely should. After getting my phone back to where I wanted it with JB, the most up-to-date v6 SuperCharger and underclocking JB to under 1Ghz, I ran a Quadrant test to see how everything was going and I got over 2800 on the first test w/ 60% battery! What more can I say?!

Update: Calibrated battery stats and sitting on 50% after 16+ hours with moderate usage.

Past two days I have had complete lockup(no touch response included) while texting, I once had the vibrator go full on non stop til I battery pulled, that was also while texting, and the device reboots often while plugged into the wall, but not on USB. I should be able to mmake it to the next update which should be the real one 1930 is covering for.
