Hey there, its me MrJoshy again, and again I have a question. I've been looking at the MIUI rom for android, read some reviews on it, and I know its a closed source project in China. But here's my question, why don't some of the Devs take a phone that IS supported by the MIUI people, put MIUI on that phone, or just download the Rom and use that to help them port it over to our phones? I mean, it sounds pretty easy. Just download the Rom on a phone that's supported, and use that to help port it over to our phones? If its any help, why not download it onto a LG Optimus 2x?

As stated many many times before, its not gonna happen. You may think it sounds easy to do, but porting a closed source rom built for HDPI devices to our MDPI devices is extremely difficult. And that is trully an understatement. Its next to impossible. One of my mentors once told me that a awhile back some guys tried to port it to another MDPI device and they got as far as resizing MOST (not all) of the images. And there are literally thousands. But that is as far as they got.

The devs here are working on their own projects. What are the benefits of MIUI vs what we have? The roms for the optimus s are great and stable. Themes for kraven's very stable and all around amazing CM7 might get you close to MIUI.

Oh, wow... Ok then. But another question, I want to learn how to code and things like that for android, and I need some major help with that, anyone think they could pm me?

There are lots of resources and books available throughout the web on this subject. If you want to make apps, learn Java first.

If MIUI went Open Source, what would happen?

And there's a Miui V4 theme over on XDA. You can use that. Ive been using it for the past couple days.
