So the Tab 9.7" wifi only got the MM update. Since the update it shows power saving mode "device performance is limited" and also "sd card tap here to transfer media files". What is going on?

Not sure about the power mode ...but I get the SD card thing showing in notifications when I turn on my tablet just swipe it away that's all I do

I wonder why the notification after the update, never had it before and it's the same card that's always been in the tablet.

Is power saving definitely turned off

It was on but now it's turned off. I had it turned on prior to the update and never seen this message. Does it have to do with Doze?

For power saving mode, I went in and set it when wanted it to kick in so that's taken care of. For the SD card I took it out copied it to my PC and remounted it, so far the message is not there..

I'm fairly new to this but got the same message "Tap here to transfer media files". Yikes - I couldn't use Amazon Music since it's on my SD card. Here's what I did and it worked. Tap where the "Tap here ..." message is. You may have to pull down on Notifications to see the message. It will take you to My Files. Left hand side is Device Storage > SD card. On right side of screen is has SD card with nothing below it. But notice the + sign to the right. On the left, tap on SD card > Android folder. Then tap the + sign on upper right. That will put the Android folder in the directory structure on the right. Then make sure on the right you are in the main folder 'SD card'. Then on the left, tap the SD card > DCIM folder. Then tap the + sign on the upper right. That should move DCIM folder over and it should all work now. That should move the sub-folders too but check to make sure. If not, use the same method to put those in the appropriate folder. I also had an empty folder called Lost.Dir that I moved. I was disappointed I couldn't find the info anywhere about how to do this but I was able to figure it out anyway.

I got the three files over (DCIM, Android, and lost dir) and the message is still there. I just got a new card, same one as before but under warranty replacement. Any ideas?
