Well its times like this i wish i had better friends. im not new to flashing roms,but i am new to the android op.
you see, i download cm7 with the gapps and the cwm the one made for the triumph by Isacc.
At the time, i downloaded all of em through the phone not on a computer cus i dont have one.
My friend in his great wisdom told me that i didnt need a computer to install CWM to flash the phone.
He told me to download a termail app from the market, place the cwm recovery on the sdcard and type this in..

su (enter)

dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p6.backup bs=4096

He told me that this will back it up.. Then he told me to type this in.

dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 bs=4096

Upon rebooting the phone, it went into download mode, now thats all it does.
I cant use any of the keys on the phone to even boot into recovery.
My phone is in an endless "download mode", and the battrey, while on charge, charges just long enough
for the phone to power on .. into dl mode.. dies and recharges and now is next to dead. And on top of that i dont have this mmcblk0p6 backup on the sd card anymore thanks to my sister.Is there any way to get this phone back to a working state or do i have to bite the bullet on this?

you going to have to charge the battery somewhere else.

then boot into download mode again while connected to a PC.


your friend was VERY stupid.

you HAVE to connect to a pc to change the recovery.

all you do is rename the old recovery, and drag the new one in the same way youd drag a file on a flash drive.

I know that i shouldnt be messing with things i dont understand.. witch i dont understand the andorid op.
i didnt even know i had a back up till i found info on the net about what i did, by then it was too late.

I cant "boot" into anything.. it dont boot at all no matter what keys i press.
It will power on, "incoming download mode" is what it goes into.. it will sit there for about 2 min till the battrey dies and recharges. then repeats. It dont stay on long enuff to even charge. Sawping out the the image file while connected to a computer for thoese 2 min does not work for me.

i have the cm7,cwm,gapps and a full stock image. I rooted with gingerbreak, and ill be getting a laptop this weekend. I would back out of all this rooting the MT and stay on stock if i can just get it working again, but if not .. its a $300 leason that will never be forgotton
After reading up on the cwm by Isacc i was hoping he would help but i cant PM him on AF
