Hi I was just wondering if it is possible to recieve MMS over Wifi because a friend of mine sent me a picture but I can't see it because I do not have a data plan.

If you don't have a data plan, you must have a feature phone, not a smartphone. MMS does not require a data plan, it's a function of texting. You don't specify how you can't see the message, so it's difficult to offer specific guidance.

on the Galaxy S3 my GF has a limited data plan, runs on wifi most of the time, while on wifi she is unable to get mms w/pictures, is there any work around for this?

One would think that the carrier would want more of the data burden going through wifi...

You are correct in a sense. MMS does need data, just not a plan.

If your account is provisioned for MMS, then the device will download the attachments (possibly still a monthly charge). The device uses the cellular data network to download files as they surpass the alloted amount of data for a SMS (text message).

It's not wrong to fondle the s pen.
