anyone else having trouble recieving mms messages? i get a box that says download i tap it then get a message saying i cant get it

i believe a long press on the actual attachment lets you view it. A long press on the actual msg itself gives you the option to save the attachment.

yea i get a menu but not an option to save anything because it hasnt been d/l

Make sure mobile network is on or mms wont download.

Sounds more like a issue with the carrier. If you've reset your phone and still getting this behavior I'd give Verizon a call. Or just wait to see if it clears up in a bit on it's own.

I've been having the same problem with picture messages. When I tap "Download" it fails and attempts a retry every few minutes. Very annoying.

If you reset your phone and it still does not work, call Verizon.

i spent 3 hours at verizon yesterday they even called htc still couldnt fix it did a factory reset problem is still there so guess im gettin a refurb

might be a stretch but I noticed my issues of the like began since I started using Hancent. I love that app, so I'll consider snooping around any of their forums to see if anyone is complaining of the same and if there's a fix.

I also had trouble with Handcent....made my alarm stop working, uninstalled and rebooted problem solved.

its not handcent at least for me i uninstalled it and tried chomp after a factory reset i still had the same probs

I'm having the same problems. They will not download using the standard Eris messaging program or Handcent. I called Verizon this morning and they are sending me a refurbished replacement phone to see if that fixes the problem. Mine has also been freezing up after completing a phone call, especially if a text message comes in while I'm talking to someone. I have to remove the battery to reset it when this happens because nothing else works.
