Mobile App Data Spike?

Did anyone else see a large background data spike from the google+ app today (or ever?) Can't say for sure how big it was going to be but it chewed up 14.63mb before hitting my limit and getting cut off. I've since returned to wifi but there's been no noticeable activity/change/update to explain it (and I'm not especially active on + anyways so there wasn't suddenly a bunch of content to pull down)
