mobile data not getting active

my provider has confirmed the data is active on the SIM,,,but when i active it doesn't show up...also why its written "emergency call" at my screen meanwhile I can make calls with the same SIM even IDD calls as well..

Your data might be enabled, but you might be in an area without coverage. Also, make sure your phone is properly configured (APNs, etc.)... if it's not, you can have a gazillion Gigabytes available in your plan, but your phone will never be able to log into the network and use them. Try using a friend's SIM card in your phone or your SIM in another phone to rule out a SIM-card problem.
