Hey Team

First post here, long time lurker and i have to say thank you to everyone who has helped me in the past :D

Unfortunately, I seem to have run into a bit of a conundrum, that currently appears to be unique to me? fingers crossed it's not the case.
I have a Huawei P30 (not pro) which I've loved as long as I've had it now (2 or 3 months - upgraded from a p10 plus). Up until yesterday morning I had not had a single problem with it, now I'm not sure if it is just a coincidence or not, but there was an overnight update which I worry may have messed with the phone? but following that, I have been unable to get/use my mobile data. I've scoured the internet for possible solutions and I'll list quickly what I've tried, but I am no technical wizard so if there is something here that is often misunderstood and i may have not done correctly please feel free to let me know.
Phone function works normally (call/texts)

- Restart the phone
- Hard restart the phone - hold the power button 10 seconds
- try rebooting into safe mode
- taking the sim out and putting it back in
- wiping cache partition
- reset the phone to factory standards (both through the settings menu and through the boot menu)

I'm really lost as to what could be causing this? any ideas at all would be greatly greatly appreciated.

Thank you!!

ya if you tried the factory wipe and still not working i say it's your sim card or even your plan something got messed up.

Cheers for all the advice team :D, my sim card worked perfectly fine in another phone.
im wondering would this be what happened if the phone was carrier locked? It was purchased from a vodafone shop, my sim card is 2 degrees (different provider). I think I'll have to take it into vodafone(where it was purchased - it was unlocked definitely at one point)
and see if it'd be that or if its warranty fixable.
Thanks for all the advice team!!

Cheers
