Mobile Deathmatch: Android 2.2 vs. iOS 4

Apple has almost 2.5x the apps. Google hasn't even scratched the surface of the apps that Apple has. Hate to say it, but they still kick the crap out of the Market as far as app selection.

And yeah. But then they're on every major Canadian carrier, so the more than 1 carrier doesn't really hold weight anymore.

The themes and UIs alone should give Android a 50 point boost. :p

Lol...Canada.

Sounds like Infoworld are a bunch of iPhone fanboys.. I mean come on.. anyone who really digs down and uses Android will notice that it's a superior OS, plain and simple.

Regardless of "features", I get a breath of fresh air knowing that Apple isn't telling me what I can and can't do with my own hardware.

I found the review AMUSING because it is quite apparent that the "reviewer" has no clue about the android capabilities and obviously hasn't navigated the OS very long.
Most of what they claim the Android can't do......"Droid does"
What a joke.

Android has a long way to go in playbackof media and syncing. 2.2 does nothing to fix this. Also the multi-touch is not nearly as smooth and responsive and app quality is greatly lacking.

And iPhone's notification system sucks and their much lauded multitasking really isn't. What's your point? Multitouch varies by device. Media playback is better if you have Sense and there are numerous third party media players. You see Android let's you write apps that replace core functions of the phone, while iPhone doesn't.

I don't understand why people say all this about media syncing. I have the Droid X, and found it very easy to set up sync with windows media player. Heck I can use DLNA to sync songs/pictures/videos over wifi!

It doesn't work with iTunes ;-)
