Mobile Hotspot feature -Does 4G Cost more?

I preordered and kept unlimited data, but tried to turn on mobile hotspot for first time and got message that it costs $30. It was only $20 using my 3G Fascinate. Is this in stone or should I try contacting customer service or store rep?

It is $30 and I believe it will be unlimited also. I decided to get the wifi hotspot and tether products by SVTP for $14.99 out of the market. Works great with the S3. Currently not working with the RAZR.

Heard foxfi works also without having to root.

I use foxfi as my wireless hot spot. I have unlimited so it's free.

Try the Foxfi app, it is free, no root required. I was able to use it easily and tether my tablet to my S3. Got blazing speeds and worked fine. I just tried it for 5-10 min to test. I don't usually have a need to make my phone a hotspot, but it will come in handy occasionally.

I downloaded a wifi tethering widget. Utilizes the built in wifi tethering in the system settings but bypasses the subscription checks to see whether or not you have tethering on your account.

They one I got was Portable wifi hotspot widget by taeiseiko<sp>. It is a widget that enables the built in hotspot app. You have to use it to turn it on and use the hotspot to configure it once turned on.

got it.... works very well.... just curious if there is any way of AT&T finding out about me using the built in hotspot through this widget....
