Well, I might be tough out of luck. I think when I bought this phone a year or so ago, I might have tried out the mobile hot spot. So I'm trying now to use it and I can't find a key that works. I suspect I chose one there, maybe, unless there is a universal log on key like so many zeros or something. I've tried all my favorite keys, even this Samsung account key.

Is this it now, no way to use this mobile hot spot not knowing the key?

Thanks, in advance (good or the bad)

If by key you mean password you set that to whatever you want and can change it any time. Should be under settings>connections>mobile Hotspot>hit the toggle to turn it on and it should show Hotspot name and password with a configure button to change it.

I found that exactly. Turned off WiFi and turned on Mobile Hot Spot. It worked. Came back a bit later to try again and it continues to say, No internet connection. Only thing I did was change the password and it acknowledged that with "some info has changed" and I signed in with the new password. Since then the "no internet connection" has prevailed. I have no idea why. Thank you for that response. Maybe if I change it back to the old password? smh

Who's your carrier? Are you certain your plan includes tethering, and if so, is there a monthly limit of tethering data?

Thanks B. Diddy. Thing is it worked, and 10 minutes later it didn't. I hadn't used it a lot and it's workied before. I'll look into it some more. In the meantime I appreciate all your suggestions! jack ":-Dx

What kind of device are you connecting that it keeps saying no internet? Is it a computer? You could try forgetting the network on that device and reconnecting it.
