I just purchased a new S6 Edge from Best Buy this weekend. I noticed yesterday when I went to setup the mobile hotspot password is was already set to a password of "ghill935/", which seems to be a pretty specifically defined password. In phones I have had before, I thought I remembered they were either not assigned...or very random passwords.

Anyone else experience this? Not thrilled at spending this kind of money on a used phone...plus it may mean someone returned it because something was wrong with it.

Any thoughts?

Fwiw, when I first used my hotspot it also had a password that ended with a /, and had the same number other characters as yours, so I think it's a samsung thing. (Or maybe verizon, which is my carrier)

Samsung has always given strange passwords for mobile hotspot.

No need to assume anything out of the ordinary.

Mine is defaulted to 4 letters 3 numbers and a special character too. I wouldn't stress it. It's random, sometimes words will occur.
