I just recently purchased an S6 active. One thing that I miss is a mobile hotspot toggle app on the home screen. Searching around, it looks like Samsung Galaxy apps once offered a "Quickpanel Restore", but that's gone.

Is there any way for me to add a toggle, or a way to reduce the steps to turn on the mobile hotspot?

When you pull down the Quick Settings panel, is there an edit option?

I don't see any way to do it, but maybe I'm missing something. I see:
wifi, bluetooth, flashlight, sound, power saving, airplane mode, wifi calling, location, auto rotate, u power saving, do not disturb, private mode, share view, nfc, sync, s finder.
I can also toggle quick connect.

If there is no option to add anything then no, you aren't missing anything.

Aside from some kind of root access modification, I'm not sure what to suggest.

There is a mobile hot spot button on the menu and you can hit reorder and move it wherever you want.
