Does hosting site matter? I’m guessing this is GDPR related?

It's for privacy yes, but any other laws, rules,and regs too that relate to internet procedures. And that could also mean copyright and gifs etc

I first heard about this over at the CrackBerry Forums. After I was finished browsing and commenting on a few topics over there, I came here and found this thread about it. Time will tell how well this will truly play out.
