Just setting up my HTC one (International version running on T-Mobile's network in Austria).
I'm thrilled to say that for the first time in 5 years living in this flat, I can make a phone call with excellent call quality from inside my flat.
I've lived in the same flat in Vienna for a little more than 5 years, and have had a number of cell phones during that time (Nokia and Sony Ericsson 'dumb' phones; Samsung Galaxy S 4G & HTC Sensation 4G). My girlfriend's had a number of phones during the same time period. Additionally, I've had a number of friends with different phones on every single Austrian network try to get reception inside my ground floor flat with practically zero luck. Reception inside the flat varies from 0 to two bars on most phones, and unless I'm standing directly by a window, at least 50% of calls dropped, and probably 90% of calls cut out.
That's all changed today. I'm getting between 2 and 3 bars on my HTC One X from every location in the flat. I just finished my first relatively long phone call ever from inside with 100% call quality.
My report's anecdotal, and could be a temporary fluke, but so far it's looking like the mobile radio on the HTC One X trumps that of every other mobile phone I've used in this flat.
Will report back as I get some longer-term experience.
