[MOD/APP] Disable/Enable Google Search Bar in ICS

Just as the title says...

Friend tipped me to the CM9 Kangs for Nexus S by Euroskank and said they had the option to disable/enable the Google Search bar on the homescreen.

From homescreen select Menu/Preferences/Homescreen/Search bar enable-disable

Its a modded stock Launcher2.apk and this Preferences option isn't in the stock launcher along with some other mods on the Nexus S/CM9 version. Anyways the search bar part works but the other options need to be implemented/ported over to work on the Nexus S 4G.

Anyways... Here's the Launcher I pulled from the Euroskank/CM9 Kangs, flash and enjoy...

FYI, the real estate used by the Google Search bar is still just a blank space and not usable

I feel silly, where are Preferences - yes, I have looked in menu under Settings under all sorts of options - Dispay being the logical choice -- but I cannot find Preferences

I wouldn't ask, but there might be something else I can use when I can find it! I'm really liking ICS, but the logic of where everything has been for a few devices has changed!! I'm on learning curve again and loving it..

It's a part of what you have to download, not in stock ICS.

Download what? I'm running ASOP, as close to stock as we get for awhile!!

Loving the look of ICS, have only found a couple of things funky, so its a learning curve

Download the patch he's talking about in the first post.

While in the launcher, press the menu key. Preferences is the fourth option.

Now I know why I can't find it, my 4th choice is Help, don't have Preferences on ASOP ICS v13.

He had added v17, just added 18, so I will download that and see if I have this choice before I download
the patch.

You need to download the file from the OP.... Its a new modded launcher that I pulled from the CM9 Kangs for the Nexus S.... Once you flash that it will have the Preferences option instead of HELP.

While your at it... oICS v19 is out.... v17/18 were short lived about a whole 2 hrs..
