Modify lock screen time out time?

Is there a way to modify the lock screen time out after notifications gets received? I'm specifically asking because whenever I get a text message via the app Textra, I have it set to show contents and I want to be able to quickly glance down to see the text without having to unlock and open the app to view the text. When texts do come, it does show on lock screen but then the screen turns off in like 1 second, not enough time for me to see it. Is there a way to modify the lock screen time out?

I get what ur asking, but I have never seen anything that would allow this.

You can't change the timeout, but you can turn on Smart Stay (under Advanced Features) so as long as you look at the screen it'll stay on.

But I don't think smart stay works on the lock screen itself.

I asked same question couple days ago, I was told to turn smart stay on, hasn't worked for me, I figure if I have to hold phone up so it can read my eyes, then at that point I'll just hit the finger print and open phone up.

Thanks for that recommendation. Yes, smart stay does work. I brought my phone up to my eye level and the screen stayed on much longer than when it was not. I guess i'll just have to train myself to do that when I get text alerts.
