I have a Samsung Galaxy A33.

I've started getting the moisture detected warning message when attempting to charge the phone while the phone is switched OFF.

It charges with the phone switched ON!

I've tried clearing the system cache, but no joy.

Any ideas please.

Welcome to Android Central! Is there any chance the port did in fact get exposed to moisture? If so, this may have caused damage that might require replacement of the port.

If you're certain there has been no moisture exposure, sometimes a dirty port can cause a false error like that. Try cleaning the port by scrubbing it with a toothbrush dipped in rubbing alcohol.

Go into your app manager and select the option to show system apps. Then search for "USB" in the manager and see if any turn up. If you have any with USB in the name, try clearing their app cache or data and then restart the phone. I've seen that help people with Samsung phones getting false moisture warnings that prevent changing, so worth a shot.
