moisture detection problem

I have an lg g6... last night it just stopped chargilg though the mark that it was charging was still there. I decided to ignore it and fall asleep. I woke up at about 4 am and my phone was buzzing like an alarm....it said that there was moisture in something. I'm not sure if its just the charger or my phone..and I can't get into my ohone to fix the problem because it is completely dead. help

Maybe use a hair dryer or fan to dry out the port then try charging.
