I ended up buying all three of these cases, but probably will return two of them. I can say without any hesitation that I will keep the Asus Premium case for several reasons.
Asus Premium Case
First, it's very slim. It adds very little thickness to the Nexus 7. It has a very nice texture. The outside is made of rubber plastic surface similar to the back of the Nexus 7. The inside is soft felt. Second, the openings for the speakers are actually cutouts unlike the Moko where the openings are perforated. I like the cutouts better since there are no obstructions to the sound. It doesn't have auto-wake and auto shut-off like the Moko, but that is not a deal breaker for me. It also doesn't have any magnet or Velcro fastener, so the cover is not fully fasten. This also is not a deal breaker for me. The cover does close, but I can see if you drop it a certain way, the cover may open and damage your screen. Again, you would have to drop it a certain way (or angle). Unlike some of the online reviews, my case actually fits my Nexus 7 perfectly. Overall, it's truly a very slim and very elegant case.
Dodo Classic
If you're an artsy type, you may want this case. It looks very nice just like one of those hardcover Moleskine notebook. Although a little thicker than the Asus Premium Case, it's still very slim. This case uses a re-usable industrial adhesive tape to fasten the Nexus 7 onto the case. The tape is actually very strong. Trying to take the Nexus off may create problems for some since you really have to CAREFULLY yank it off. It almost feel like you will rip the case apart or maybe will damage your Nexus device. I have done it three times now and the device and case are intact with no damage. They say that if the tape gets dirty and loose its stickiness, all you need to do is wipe if with a wet cloth. Several reasons why I didn't choose to keep this case. First, there is no real stand for this case unlike the Asus and Moko. This case has an elastic band that functions to keep the case closed and when use with a tiny plastic stopper on it, it works as a stand. I find this to be quite unstable and not very good angle. Second, I feel like after some moderate use, the binding may start to rip just like a real hardback cover book.
Moko Slim
If you only bought this case and haven't seen any other cases, you may think it's a slim case. But if you put this thing up against the Asus and the Dodo, the Moko Slim is actually twice as thicker. However, this case actually has a working auto-wake and auto-shutoff magnet. It works 100% of the time when I close and open the case. It feels very sturdy. I am confident that if you drop the device with this cover, your device will be well protected. The outside actually feels very nice. It has a feel of soft leather. Inside is felt-like texture. Of all the cases, this case has a very good stand that can be positioned at two angles. It will be difficult to accidentally shift the stand. On the inside, it also has a band that allows you to slip your hand inside and helps you hold it with one hand. I really like this and it feels very nice holding the Nexus especially if you're lying on your back in bed and reading from the Nexus. As mentioned before, the openings for the speakers are actually perforated. I've tested the sound with both the case on and off and the perforations actually affects the sound quality. This case is actually the least expensive. I bought it for $15 on Amazon.com. I am returning this case because it's way too thick and adds some weight to the device.
All three cases are actually very high quality. So if you're looking for quality, any of the three will satisfies you. But if weight or added thickness is a concern for you, then one maybe better than the other.
