Monitor Help

Hey Android guys I need some advice on purchasing the perfect fit monitor for my daily use. This monitor will primarily be for apple desktops and macbooks. I have some choices on the list and I will include them to get an idea what is best. Out of the options the first is the Asus proart PA279CV which is normally sized at 27 inches a great quality 4k resolution, and all the ports. Then is the Alogic Clarity same display 27 inches, all the usb ports, a great 4k resolution, and both portrait and landscape display where as the other monitor doesn't. Last is the BenQ PD2706UA which has a 27 inch display, all usb ports, low quality hd display, and a landscape display.

I wouldn't trust Asus due to their repeated quality control and customer service issues. Never heard of Alogic, so that's right out (sounds like a cheap Chinese brand name). The BenQ is a 4k display, not HD, according to their website. They are also pretty respected in the media editing scene for color accuracy. I couldn't care less about the ability to use portrait mode, so is a non-issue that it doesn't have it.

So the BenQ would be the only consideration for me of those 3 specific models.

While I think most of your options will be similar, try reading reviews on rtings.com. For me, PPI was the deciding factor because I wanted the highest PPI due to spending 10-12 hours a day reading text on my monitors.

I went from a 49" ultrawide which I adored (but had very low PPI, around 120) to a 218ppi 27" monitor and I love it.

So, if reading a lot of text is going to be crucial, look for 4k 27" and read the reviews on rtings, especially the "office use" and text clarity bits.
