I bought this phone without doing my homework n I really like it n that's y I haven't sold or returned when o got it. I bought it for the 4G speed but it's always off cause I guess I'm hardly ever around
4g.towers where I live n I be out going places in my car. With this phone,I don't think u have the option of switching from 3g to 4g. Can anyone help me with this. I have two questions. 1.I live in Peoria,I'll so does anyone if more 4g towers r being put in various places as of now or in the near future cause this phone cost me too much for me not to b getting exactly what I want or deserve for the money I paid n haven't read anyone else on the HTC evidence design forums of no one having the problems I be having.2.I posted another topic concerning bad reception (Callers hearing loud irritating noises, echos in background, n callers hearing themselves talking etc) n my question is as far as my first question I wrote about, could that b the reason y I'm having the issues of the bad reception cause of lack of 4g towers where I live n any other places I go or be at.Please Help!

There won't be any LTE towers in Central Illinois until sometime next year.

Your phone automatically switches to 3G if there isn't an LTE signal. You will see the "3G" icon in your status bar. I spend a lot of time in Central Illinois and almost always have a very strong 3G signal, but your distance from the tower and terrain affect that.

As for call quality, that has nothing to do with 3G/4G signal - data and voice are two separate signals.

Please completely disregard my above post. I missed that you said "HTC Design 4G", you are posting in the wrong forum. This forum is for the HTC EVO 4G LTE.
