Well here is to us having good luck!
My story is actually quite interesting on how I got my eligibility moved up:
I broke my Pre today during work. The screen cracked as I leaned up against something. (I think that was some sort of message from God, seeing as how it happened on Evo-day) I called up retentions and explained that I was just 13 days from being able to upgrade (as I had already called and got my upgrade date moved up 2 weeks like many others), and explained what happened to my Pre. I got the most sympathetic and understanding rep ever, as she instantly approved the eligibility change. She explained that it could take a couple days to put into effect, but I see it has already updated on my Sprint account.
Then I headed down to the corporate Sprint store nearby, and got them to replace my Pre (with no TEP even). This is the second time now where the cracks look like they're coming from the button on the phone, which I guess is a "defect" and can be replaced just under the manufacturers warranty.
So now, unless I can find an EVO tomorrow somewhere, it looks like I'll be receiving both an EVO and a Pre in the mail come Monday or Tuesday.
