Now you can use any kind of credit/debit card with Google Wallet! That's awesome.

I was wondering where y'all have used GW to pay at? I've only used it at CVS once to spend the $10 the big G gave me.

McDonald's. Most of them have it. I still get asked about it all the time. People are surprised and think it's great. Now they just need to buy a phone with NFC and get with the program. Haha.

Glad they found a work around for my Amex card...Got my $10 gift card and used it at a Wawa (North east 7/11 type store...but with better coffee and MTO food) worked fine and the clerk laughed and said it went through. First one he saw use a phone.

Its not really any faster then using my card...but it is cool!

True but it does keep an electronic receipt so you don't have to tote around paper receipts.

Amex gives me a spreadsheet at the end of the year, all categorized. That , frequent flyer miles and the fact I have to pay it off every month are my reasons for only wanting to use it..

I don't even want to say how much I charge on it each year...but not paying finance charges saves me literally $k's each year.

I think I may have to change my tune about speed, it is slightly faster to whip my phone out of its holster and touch then to pull out the card swipe press credit and return the card to the wallet...usually at the same time the clerk is handing me the purchased items. So I will say over the course of a year using it every day will save me time.

How does it work if you purchase more than $10 worth with your credit? Would it combine it with your credit card? I don't see how you can spend just $10 exactly.

You know what's awesome? Having $24.93 on my Google prepaid card and having to still use my debit card. Because it didn't work. Again.

The payment machine/cashier will tell you that you still owe the difference. So then you have to pull out your real card, use cash, or switch to a different payment option within Wallet.

(Or make a mad dash out the door.....but I don't condone that option! )

Walgreens and best buy in Chicago land area has it but none of them are really working. I cannot understand why so many big chains waste money to install them yet not implementing it.

Yep I see that here in Arizona also, machines installed but supposedly not hooked up.

I have a stock ICS unrooted Verizon GNex and have been using Google Wallet since I have had the phone. I have the same battery in it too. After I did this update, it was taking forever to initialize the app. So I force closed it and wiped data from the setting->apps menu. Now when I try to start the app it starts then throws up an error box that says "Unfortunately, Wallet has stopped."

I can't get past this point. I can't get into the app to reset it. I have not changed anything as far as the software goes in that I have never don't a factory reset. Anybody else get this and fix it? Or anybody with knowledge help a fellow nexer out??????

Still can only use a mastercard for the Nexus 7 app.

@racerxe24 Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Some times that works. If not then pull out the big guns like factory reset

After I saw your post I grabbed my N7. I knew it updated on my GNex and was suprised it didn't on the N7. When I went into GW it gave me updated terms of service to agree to then got a splash that says "Use any credit or debit card with Google Wallet" and it goes on to explain ending in the logos of the 4 major credit cards.

If memory serves there was a GW update in the PlayStore the other day so check and see if you can update - I think that will allow you to use any card from then on.
