More likely to happen

So my post went over your head. Fine. Nevermind the EVO since it is confusing you. Think of it this way: Verizon always being late to the party. See the party starts at 9:00pm and ends at 2:00am and VZW showing up at 1:55am and VZW says "Lets party" and everyone else is like "WTF??"

And what, pray tell, was Verizon supposed to be doing while the EVO 3D was being released on Sprint? Battling back with some other gimmicky 3D nonsense?

Oh no. You poor entitled child. What ever will you do?

If I allocated $300 to my son for a smartphone, I'd expect him to make the most effective use of the money. That means research and not just buying whatever crap the marketing pukes try to throw at him. By that point he probably has a little skin in the game.

Entitlement? The money's already been promised. This is his failing how?

Just wanted to say I love this post. Good on you for making sure your son gets the most bang for the buck. If we had more educated consumers, the entire industry would be vastly different

He should at least let him make the right choice, if you're going to give him $300 to spend.

How is this entitled? Someone's kid who is willing to delay gratification and wait for a product he prefers? Sounds responsible to me.

That really is a rare thing. My 14 year old son is one of those who actually gets that concept on more than the rare occasion. Embrace that whenever it happens! Shoot...I'm barely able to contain MYself when it comes to delayed gratification! LOL

Since your not undestanding why I bring up the EVO ill state this bluntly taking 3 posts to help you comprehend: Verizon is sitting on their @ss once again with the release of this Galaxy Nexus.

They aren't sitting on anything, the Rezound, RAZR, and Bionic are all equal or better phones to the Nexus or Evo 3D.

EDIT: Only thing the Evo 3D has over them is the whole 3D thing winch is more gimmick than anything practical

LMFAO. Is that the official corporate line now?

I'll have a Nexus on Verizon or I'll have one on Sprint. No bloatware, no proprietary UIs, or any of that other "also ran" garbage for me.

Thanks for proving my point. The Rezound RAZR and Bionic all came out AFTER as in LATEer. You in essence agreed with me that Verizon did in fact play "catch up" to the EVO EVO 3D and SGS2 and stated yourself that they were "equal or better" after how many months??

What VZW doesnt realize is that those three boatware phones were late and catching up to specs that Sprint already had in their hardware lineup for months.

No that's a comparison the specs between the three are almost identical only thing Nexus has going for it is the software and the phones I listed will all be getting ICS soon enough.

Bionoc was what a MONTH? month and half? LOL Someone had to be first and being first isn't always best. I've been saying for years other carriers get nice phones and Verizon gets the beefed up/more refined version shortly thereafter. Not always direct adaptations but equivalent devices.

No, not "soon enough". I'm not waiting any longer for VZW, HTC, or Motorola to finish thumbing themselves.

Even once the others are finally updated, who wants to spend the remainder of the next two years looking at those obsolete physical buttons?

Or waiting extra weeks/months for 4.1 or 4.2, etc?

In case you haven't been paying attention to the videos of ICS running on the Nexus S the new OS continues to use the old buttons if present. ICS simply doesn't REQUIRE physical buttons.

They by all means go back to Sprint and enjoy your phone when you actually get service... if it bothers you that much don't let the ETF stop you....

I nominate this as the most hilarious thing on the forums. Really. I'm 100% serious on this. "Obsolete physical buttons". Wow. Now we don't worry about obsolete cameras and processors, these freaking buttons are for freaking savages! I don't know about you, but i didn't sign this 2 year contract to live in the stone ages. Only hobos use buttons on their cell phones

I've had the corporate accounts with VZW for roughly a decade now - never been with Sprint, never been very interested… until now.
ETF doesn't apply to my OG Droid and I can transition the corp phones as the contacts end.

Sprint roams on VZW here so I'm gold if it comes to that. If my Droid dies before the Nexus is released, that's my best alternative.

Gotta look cool! ;-)
