Most iconic mobile games?

What are some of the best/most iconic/influential games on mobile phones? E.g. games that created new genres of mobile games, or just games that you personally love.

Some of my favorites are:

• Monument Valley
• Dadish

Some other popular and influential games that come to mind are:

• Plants vs. Zombies
• Temple Run
• Angry Birds
• Plague Inc.
• Fruit Ninja
• Machinarium
• Terraria

The only game I’ve ever played was Brickbreaker on old Blackberry phones. I enjoyed it, but too much.

How do we define mobile game? A few of the titles you mention were on PC before mobile. I was playing Plants vs Zombies before Android phones were a thing.

Flappy bird was the first thing that came to mind as an iconic mobile game, it was ridiculous the way people sold phones with the game preinstalled for hundreds more than they were worth and it spawned countless clones.

Oh yes, completely forgot about Flappy Bird.

Regarding the definition of mobile game, I'd say we can define it loosely here. I.e. both games that were either mobile first, and games that were released on other non-mobile platforms first, but were widely popular on mobile phones, too.
