My watch used to ask to be rotated around different directions after a restart but it no longer prompts for that. It also no longer turns on when i move my wrist to look at it. How can I get that feature back?
Should i consider a factory reset? Sounds scary, what will I lose?

If I can't get the motion activation back can I make the watchface, the real one not the dimscreen one, stay on all day? I've played around with watchmanager and facedesigner by no luck.
Thanks for any tips/advice!

Welcome to Android Central! Go to the watch's Settings, and make sure Wrist Gestures is turned on.

Factory resets of a watch aren't a big deal. If you saved some music locally to the watch, you'll lose that, but you presumably have the original files safe somewhere in the phone, computer, or cloud.

Wrist gestures do not have to be turned on to have the watch light up when you move your arm to view the time. Reviewers report that this feature is not reliable.

I agree. It's not a reliable feature. It's hit and miss for me. Hoping a software update fixes it.
