Motion Launch - Double Tap Not Working As Expected

I recently rooted my AT&T stock M8 and converted it to GPE.

I am positive that on the first day or two, double tapping the screen when it was off took the phone to the lock screen. Now when I double tap the screen it bypasses the lock screen and takes me to whatever app was open (just like when I swipe the screen). Has this happened to anybody else?

Granted, I have fooling around with my lockscreen lately, but nothing that I would think would affect motion launch. I've simply been adding/deleting various lock screen widgets, etc. I installed then uninstalled an app called Dynamic Notifications, which is similar to Moto X notifications.

Any thoughts?

Double tap and swipe should do the same thing. Either take you to last app or take you to lock screen if you have a pin/pattern lock. What else would you expect it to do?
