Motion Launch gestures - how do I disable the camera app launch from volume button?

I really love the Motion Launch gestures except the volume button that wakes the phone and launches the camera app.
Launching the camera app by mistake is annoying and it happens from time to time.
Is there any way to leave all Motion Launch gestures on but disable this specific one?

I tried Settings > Display & gestures > Motion Launch gestures but it looks like I'll have to disabled the whole thing.

Unfortunately there's no way to do that on stock software

You're probably talking about the volume button settings while you are in the camera app where your options are: Capture, Zoom or Volume control.
I'm talking about something else - in landscape mode, when phone is locked, click on the volume buttons will launch the camera app.
I want to disable this option.

You're right. I had assumed that selecting volume would have disabled the launch camera app. It doesn't...

This is a big problem for me too, I don't want to give up double tap to wake but having your camera open in your pocket and drain your battery is horrible

I can only get my volume button to launch the camera when the phone is perfectly horizontal, now sure why it works in your pockets

I tend to slouch in my class sometimes. Why was it necessary to question my statement lol? I wouldn't say it happens if it didn't happen

I have a pair of Carpenter Jeans that I have to make sure I don't load the phone so the buttons will face down when I sit, otherwise the camera turns on. This is the only feature I wish I could turn off, I love the double tap to turn on and triple finger touch to turn off.

Hi

I faced same problem with the camera gesture and tried to find a solution for it. in the end I bought the HTC Dot View case and it work out.

Using the Dot View will allow m8 to use all gesture except the camera one which will not open until you open the flip.

Now that I have Marshmallow I can control all 6 motion gestures and have turned them all off except double tap to wake, much nicer not having the camera turn on when not wanted.
