Motion Photos versus Regular Photos

I have kind of left my Fold in Motion Photo mode but I am wondering if there's a quality difference between a "standard" picture and the "best" chosen by the algorithm from the series of shots that comprise the Motion Photo.

Since the phone/camera is jostling as it shoots x number of frames does that lead to a loss of resolution/quality?

Hmmm didn't think of it myself but I've always had motion on
