Moto Display not showing Icons after Nougat update

Is it just me or is anybody else not getting Icons to display messages/mail/notifications on the Moto Display approach screen. I'm talking about the screen that shows the time and the lock icon when you wave your hand over the phone. It used to show icons of messages, but I can't get mine to show up and I've tried everything.

Tips, hints or is this just me?

I have the same issue. This N rollout is full of bugs, that's why they pulled it, and I'm assuming these issues will be fixed when they actually roll out N officially. I was having battery issues as well but a hard reset fixed that mostly.

UPDATE: I figured it out. Gosh I'm smart! Lol.

Go to Settings/Apps/ "Gear symbol in the upper right corner"/Special Access/Notification Access then make sure "Moto Display" is on. Mine wasn't and that was causing it.
