Moto E (2nd Generation) Home Button Not Working!

My dad was using his Moto E phone and his home button stopped working a while ago. Everything else works fine. The home button DOES work in GUEST Mode. Can someone please help me out? Factory Reset is something my dad does NOT want to do (he has many contacts and pictures- some saved on sd card, that he wants to keep.)

• Just cleared cache partition, home button still DOESN'T work
